Trai Santos
Jmtk fighter. Newer to the sport. Watched for years before finally deciding to give it a shot. [Interview 2026-08-01] 34-year-old Wichita featherweight (2-2 by his own count on tape), now fighting out of NextGen Fight Team — where he is ALSO a coach (gym lineage: started at Andy Zerger's JMTK; walked in at 17, "looked at it, got scared, and went back home," returned when it relocated in 2016 and never left). Background includes bare-knuckle boxing and kickboxing. Career arc: first-ever fight was the opener on an EFC Wichita card — now headlines ACC 3. Patient counter-striker with submission wins; last loss was calf kicks (Abraham Benjamin) — jokes about it freely. Fights for Wichita and his grandma, "my favorite person on the planet," who attends every fight despite hating to watch. Plans to be fully into coaching within ~5 years; corners NextGen teammates Ishmael Wangatti (am kickboxing title, ACC 3), Adrian Reyes (debut, ACC 3), Devin Gomez. Best friend/cornerman since KCFA days: Lorenzo "Loke" Carter (~5-2). Was previously booked to fight Jesse James Lee before it fell through — ACC 3 is the rebooking.
